April Update:

We now have 60 memberships and 120 hop plants in the ground around Hythe and stretching out to Ashford and Stelling Minnis. Fantastic response and enthusiasm with great turn out to our social gatherings where members can get to know their new colleagues and swap stories about their hops.

Deal started their hop farm in 2017 and now have 300 members who this year grew 178Kg of hops on 200 sites and their local brewery made 9000 pints of excellent Green Hop Beer (“Hopping M.A.D.”) which was served in over 35 pubs in East Kent. HECG aim to use the same formula. We are now looking for people who want to grow hops this year and make a brew this autumn
