Hythe Green Wood – Opening Event

You may be aware that over recent months a new woodland has been planted in the south western corner of Hythe Green. Some of you may even have contributed finances to this project. On June 18th of this year the Hythe Green Preservation Society is holding a ceremony on the Green to officially inaugurate the Hythe Green Wood as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy.
The event will start at 12 noon, in the new woodland area. The ceremony will include the cutting of a ribbon, singing and music, and in addition some activities organised by the Scouts and the Rainbows. The Kent Kite Flyers Forum will be on the Green too, from 10am. A local brewery will run a beer tent.
Hythe Environmental Community Group and Hythe Hops will have a stand there so come along and say hello.
